Someone else had written to comment on Muslim ownership of the Shard and what that meant. I shared with them the following:

I believe the investment by Qatar has far more to do with the British and American monopoly over the oil industry than it has to do with religion. I think the media attention on the intrusion of Islam into Western society is more myth than reality. It is intended to stir up sectional strife leading to civil chaos. The fears of Western Europe or America becoming predominantly Muslim I believe are overhyped.

Consider that Europe is only nominally Christian. It is reported that less than 5% of Europeans attend church services. The truth is, the god of Western culture is materialism (mammon). I see it as a very remote possibility that tens of millions of women in the U.S. and European countries will turn aside from their liberation, sensual conduct, and materialistic lifestyles and embrace the very paternalistic views of Islam. Islam will be a very hard sell for nations who are steeped in images of Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, and the like. It is not Christianity that Islam will have to overcome, for Christianity is little more than a cultural relic in Europe. It is a liberal, secular, materialistic mindset that is so deeply ingrained that trying to merge it with the male dominated, strict Sharia teachings of Islam would be like trying to mix oil and water.

The body of the beast is said to be a lion and not an eagle. it seems that the lion is its primary designation…? (it seems the wings are discarded and are no longer important to this parable and if so and we are the eagle, then we are discarded and not part of the end time empires. regardless of the wings, the lion has a mind of the man and is given by God the ability to do what is not natural to the lion—to be able to walk on only two legs. the mind of man speaks of reason which could also imply rebellion. not really sure where that goes. the lion, the bear, the leopard and the mysterious 4th beast are all alive at the same time and continues for a while after the 4th beast is destroyed. are these empires all right now? if so, does this mean that the lion, leopard, bear are different and not part of the 4th beast? yeah, not sure where this goes but its interesting.

Thank you for the comments. I have also considered the verse you cited from Daniel about the lion and the eagle's wings. One possible understanding of this is that the eagle's wings being plucked speaks of America falling and then England ascending as the lion is stated to stand up afterwards. I wrote of this in a post after the U.S. Airways jet crashed in the Hudson River. They had to remove the wings of the plane and transport it across the ground as it could no longer be flown.

thank you. very interesting symbolism. i find it interesting that according to Daniel 7, "[4] The first was like a lion and had eagles' wings. Then as I looked its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand upon two feet like a man; and the mind of a man was given to it." Some believe the lion here prophetically represents the UK and eagles wings being plucked off represents the birth of the USA. the lion was given the mind of man now–what ever the lion attempts to do is going to be fraught with the rebellion of man. Just a thought…
also the green lasers sound like a reference to green ecology which they are very into (which is occult at its roots) and green is a symbol of Islam which they given themselves over to as a nation and are being overtaken by the spirit of mohammed. Arnie

Your posts are timely and informative,as always. It's good that the people of God be aware of the flow of events in God's plan. But let us never forget: Satan is an instrument in Father's hands; Satan acts only within the boundries set by Father; Satan cannot go beyond what he's allowed to do; all that Satan is doing serves the ultimate purpose that Father is working out in accordance with the counsel of His will.
We are not promised health,wealth,success and material possessions in this age. Our blessings are spiritual. To know God and understand His ultimate intention along with the realization that He is bringing it about(right on schedule)is awesome.
On these things we should meditate.

I live not too far from the shard and can see it from where I live even though it outer shell is complete it still looks like an uncapped elongated pyramid.

I recently had an office relocation close to the city of london and would see the silver dragons daily and its no joke, the place is packed with occult symbols and statues of greco-roman gods usually fully naked.

The uk has been experiencing freak weathet for the last 2 months mainly consisting of a months rain in a sinle day leading to frequent flash floods and an extremly unusual tornado which hardly ever occur on these shores.

Aswell as hosting yhe pagan olympic games the church of england is currently deciding to allow women bishops, also the question of gay marraige is being debated by the government.
