When the spirit gave me understanding that I was not to bring in and celebrate pagan practices in my worship of Yahweh and Yahshua Messiah it was a no-brainer as they say. We all have to make choices all the time, the choices are simple and direct: Obey Yahweh or obey Satan or the world.
Yes, those of our family who do not understand spiritual things will harbor ill-will toward us, mock us, ridicule us, yes even reject and shun us because we take a stand for obedience to Yahweh and his word. I have a feeling they treat us so because they know we are right but they do not want to commit to travel down the path we chose to walk and we cause them discomfort or "cognative dissonance". They have to get us out of their world so they do not have to make that choice as to follow truth or just keep compromising.

I wondered for years how it was that the 'world' would holler "Crucify him, crucify him", for eleven months in a row every year, and then magically at the twelfth month, the 'world' would apparently spend several weeks supposedly celebrating that same person's birth. Wars would be put on hold with a 'Christmas truce', enemies would become friends for a short time and love and peace would be the watchwords for this annual celebration. Then, the cycle would begin again, with all of the 'magic' now gone for the next eleven months. * * * During one Christmas season, I was prayerfully reminded of John 15:18 – "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." There was no exception clause in that verse for December or for any other month. If the world hated him, then the question that came into my mind was 'WHO or WHAT was the world celebrating every year?' It was then that the driving force for my search for the truth began, and the constantly motivating verse that I was given was Revelation 12:9 – "And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:…"! THAT was almost incomprehensible – the WHOLE WORLD deceived. Even we who have believed on the only begotten son are a part of this 'WHOLE WORLD' – separated from the world spiritually, but yet still caught in the deception, because we still dwell in this deceived world. To me, it is not the truth itself that is so difficult to apprehend, but the realization of the extent to which we have been so deceived.
