I'll also say this. As I obey, God is removing those inordinate desires which led me to indulge the flesh. I have found myself presented with opportunities to indulge, but having no desire to (in areas which would have truly been my weakness before). Foods that I would have previously thought irresistible, I now feel next to nothing towards.

Not by chance of course, my most favorite restaurant just opened up recently right up the street. In all of my decades of living in this area, there has never been one nearby. I literally did a dance for joy when I saw the first signs that they were building one here. Yet, I find myself dead to it now. God is surely doing a work. He is helping us to put things in Godly perspective, having no idols before Him, and I praise Him for it.

So I just want to offer encouragement to you and others. As we obey and submit to the will of the Father, He gives us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4); He removes those defiling desires and replaces them with desires that are pleasing to Him. He is changing us to be more like Him, which includes us coming to understand that He is truly all that satisfies. As you have quoted, our food (sustenance in both physical & spiritual areas) truly is to do His will.

As always, I thank God for your witness and pray that He continues to lead you along the paths of righteousness, allowing His light in you to burn even brighter.
