The parable of the feet of Christ
Quote from Jordan Klumpenhouwer on October 21, 2025, 6:19 pmThe parable of the feet of Christ
Genesis 49:10
“The scepter shall not depart from Judah,
Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,
[a]Until Shiloh comes,
And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.
Revelation 12:5
And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne.
Revelation 1:12-16
12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands; 13 and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like [j]a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. 14 His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. 15 His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters. 16 In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun [k]shining in its strength.
I’ve really been missing Joseph’s revelatory writings lately. I’m lucky enough to be a part of a bible study group where we regularly receive edification. I’ve been thinking there are probably many saints out there who also are looking for revelation and edification that don’t have anywhere to get it at the moment. The “land” is in a famine, and as the last days draw nearer to completion the famine of the Word of God will only get more severe. At least until Yah pours out his spirit once again, and Yahshua moves in power through his people.
Until that time (which feels very close) I thought I would share some thoughts on some scriptures that have been sticking with me. For some of you this may be a refresher, for others it may be new entirely. Joseph has written about the early and latter rain in this article; https://parables.blog/the-early-rain-and-latter-rain/. My father’s bible studies often cover it as well, and can be found under the “guest audio” on the home page (apologies for the poor audio).
Before I start to explore my thoughts I just want to say also that the grand majority of this understanding comes from the teachings of Joseph, or my father Brian. There is very little that the spirit has revealed to me personally, I am only lucky enough to have been taught some understanding by the words of these disciples of the cross.
What is the parable of the feet? Simply put, the feet are end times disciples of Christ. The last portion of the body, of living stones, to be assembled and put into place in the body of Christ.
The statue in Nebuchadnezzar's dream gives us the key to understanding the parable. This is supported by other parables in relation to the timing of the return of Christ. And then is supported further by evidence from the gospels about Jesus’s own feet.
Daniel 2:31-35
31 “You, O king, were looking and behold, there was a single great statue; that statue, which was large and [ao]of extraordinary splendor, was standing in front of you, and its appearance was awesome. 32 The head of that statue was made of fine gold, its breast and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of bronze, 33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. 34 You [ap]continued looking until a stone was cut out without hands, and it struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and crushed them. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were crushed [aq]all at the same time and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of them was found. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.”
The key to the parable of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream is given in Daniel. This parable is about the sequence of beast nature kingdoms that rule on this earth. From the first (Babylon-head) to the last (feet of iron and clay) mixed global kingdom of our day.
Now let’s ask a question. The statue in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream represented the kingdoms of this world. So what represents the Kingdom of Heaven? We call it the “Body of Christ”.
1 Corinthians 12:12-31
12 For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For [j]by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot says, “Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason [k]any the less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear says, “Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason [l]any the less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired. 19 If they were all one member, where would the body be? 20 But now there are many members, but one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; or again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, [m]it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary; 23 and those members of the body which we [n]deem less honorable, [o]on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our less presentable members become much more presentable, 24 whereas our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked, 25 so that there may be no [p]division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is [q]honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it. 28 And God has [r]appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then [s]miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues. 29 All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of [t]miracles, are they? 30 All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they? 31 But earnestly desire the greater gifts.
Through Paul’s wiring to the Corinthians we find it true that the Kingdom of God can be interpreted as a body, made up of many believers, inhabited by the Spirit of God. This may seem obvious to most of you but I believe it’s important to be very specific when interpreting parables.
Colossians 1:15-23
15 [w]He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For [x]by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He [y]is before all things, and in Him all things [z]hold together. 18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19 For [aa]it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the [ab]fullness to dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in [ac]heaven.
21 And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, 22 yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— 23 if indeed you continue in [ad]the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, [ae]was made a [af]minister.
Just as Nebuchadnezzar was the beginning and head of the statue of the kingdoms of this earth. So is Christ the beginning and head of the living body of the kingdom of believers and disciples.
I would encourage all who have not already read Joseph’s article about the early rain and the latter rain to do so now. It is an impressive dissemination of the parable of the breach in Christianity.
https://parables.blog/the-early-rain-and-latter-rain/
This breach is confirmed by the parable of the feet we’re discussing now. It is prophesied by the very events Christ lived HIMSELF. How fitting this is. Let us praise Yahweh, for his ways are far beyond our own. I am certain we are barely scratching the surface of the breadth and depth of the knowledge held within the scriptures and it’s parables. Only by the Spirit of God revealing the truth to us can we hope to have understanding. Let’s continue.
Just as Christ as the head began a new age for those who would follow him. Often called the “church age” or the “age of the gentiles”. This age will conclude with the “feet” Just as Nebuchadnezzar's statue did also. The “torso and legs (body) of Christ in this parable now represents the “breach”. With an anointing applied at the start, and at the end. The early rain, and the latter rain. The statue representing the world powers will terminate at the same time, with the falling of a stone, cut without hands, which lands on the feet and becomes a mountain. Doing away with the systems of this world, and the age of man.
In scripture mountains often represent governments. And I believe this is the case here as well. I think Revelation 11 verse 15 shows us the reaction in heaven to the real event which Daniel has the dream and interpretation of.
Revelation 11:15
15 Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying,
“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His [j]Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.”
Hallelujah!
Looking at the gospels we find the following;
Matthew 26:6
6Now when Jesus was in Bethany, at the home of Simon the leper, 7a woman came to Him with an alabaster vial of very costly perfume, and she poured it on His head as He reclined at the table.
John 12:1-4
1Jesus, therefore, six days before the Passover, came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. 2So they made Him a supper there, and Martha was serving; but Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him. 3Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
First we read that the head of Christ is anointed. And then, the feet. Interesting that the first two books of the gospels recount the anointing of the head, while the latter 2 recount the anointing of the feet.
When the perfume was poured on the head of Yashua, surely some would have dripped upon his shoulders and then onto his body. But the further down you go the less perfume would have been present. Until you arrive at the feet, where until some time in the very near future (none knows the day nor the hour), there is going to be a fresh outpouring of the Spirit.
On Pentecost the spirit was poured out onto an upper room of 120 souls. The anointing of the head. In our days the spirit is going to pour out onto 144,000 overcomers. 144,000 is a symbolic number. It represents the ministry of the 12 disciples (the ministry of Christ) times 12000 which signifies the ministry being multiplied to a heavenly corporate body. The 144,000 are the 2 witnesses. Jesus sent his disciples out 2 by 2 in pairs to travel and minister together. Where before there was a singular head, now there are 2 feet.
Revelation 1:15
15 His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters.
Let us never forget that the purpose of the furnace is to refine us. To prepare us for our roles in the kingdom, to remove our impurities (fleshly and soulish nature), to become a vessel of honor should be all of our hearts desire. Our Father’s furnace may appear daunting at times but don’t forget that He has carefully planned the process of your refinement in order to create a son or daughter of glory. A mature body. Spiritually mature, with God given understanding and wisdom. Full of love, but also discernment, and judgement. A vessel which his spirit can inhabit wholly, as a living temple, and be given responsibility and authority to perform His works.
I must admit, I do not have any understanding of the breadth of what that means. I cannot comprehend with my fleshly mind what it will be like to have the Living God in all His glory inhabit a living temple. But as I read the scriptures and chew the cud (think/ponder on The Word) there are times when the Spirit of God comes and makes it alive, and my own spirit within me bears witness to the truth of His leadings. Until (and only if) I am given more understanding, I cannot hope to truly fathom it. And that’s really what this whole writing is about. This last moment of refining, this last piece of the puzzle, before our Lord returns.
Two bronze feet in the description of Jesus correspond to a couple of other interesting pairings of bronze items in the scriptures.
The bronze altar and the bronze wash basin each making up half of Jesus’ ministry. One symbolizing forgiveness of sins and the other the washing of the Body of Christ, borne by 12 oxen which symbolize the first outpouring ministry, the 12 disciples. Before these 12 began their own ministry Jesus first took them aside one by one and washed their feet.
John 13:5-11
5 Then He *poured water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded. 6 So He *came to Simon Peter. He *said to Him, “Lord, do You wash my feet?” 7 Jesus answered and said to him, “What I do you do not realize now, but you will understand hereafter.” 8 Peter *said to Him, “Never shall You wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.” 9 Simon Peter *said to Him, “Lord, then wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.” 10 Jesus *said to him, “He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.” 11 For He knew the one who was betraying Him; for this reason He said, “Not all of you are clean.”
Two bronze feet also correlate with the two bronze pillars at the entrance of Solomon’s Temple. I believe these pillars also represent the 2 witnesses/144,000 of Revelation. Boaz: In Him is strength, and Jachin: He shall establish. It’s all about Him. We, as the “refined” body of last days believers, still have no power of our own. It will be His strength. He will establish The Way. The base of the pillars has a circumference of 12 cubits. This represents the “base” of understanding which the 12 disciples had the ministry of distributing. The pillars are 35 cubits tall, together they make 70 cubits. I believe this corresponds to the 7 years of The Great Tribulation during which the 2 witnesses will minister on the earth. 70 being 7x10 spiritual perfection & Divine order. Together they represent the perfect completion of a thing. Not referring to carnal matters but to the Spiritual. The pillars make up a half each, just as Tribulation is split by two sets of 42 months (3.5 years)
The pomegranates represent the fruit by which you can identify a disciple of the cross. The 7 chains represent the 7 Spirits of Yah at work in our lives by the direction of the holy spirit. The lily represents the adornment and covering of the Bride. The pillars themselves represent the boundary of separation from the Outer Court and the Temple. The bronze itself represents refinement. And in the case of Jesus’ feet in Revelation it’s a further refinement. It takes one step of refinement to go from copper and tin to bronze, smelted and refined in a furnace. And then a further refinement to smooth and harden the bronze by burnishing it. Burnishing the bronze hardens the metal, removing the “hills and valleys” in the surface, and giving the metal a warm “glow” and “aged” appearance.
This pattern, or division, of 3 (copper+tin > bronze> burnished bronze) can be found in many places in scripture. In the same way that the temple is split into the outer court, The holy place, and the holy of holies. Or that the Kingdom of Israel is split into the nation proper, the tribe of Judah, and the city of Jerusalem. The Levites can be split into the tribe of Levi, the priesthood, and the high priest.
There are obviously more details we could go into for all of these bronze pairings. It’s amazing how the Lord has ordered these parables in scripture to be layered, and meaningful in many ways. Often the same parables can be applied on individual, spiritual, and corporate levels. We also have the 2 bronze mountains in Zechariah with the 4 chariots we can analyze, but I think this is already becoming a longer writing than I intended. So that may have to wait for another time.
John 21:18-19
18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to go.” 19 Now this He said, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, “Follow Me!”
Our feet are the vehicles by which we walk the world. This last group of saints on the earth will be old (mature in the spirit), led by the hand where they don’t wish to go (Led by the spirit into experiences that glorify God at the expense of their carnal nature and soulish desires), And girded up by someone else (by the spirit of God preparing us for our journey).
We are going to be empowered. Led by the Spirit of Christ in us, to once again preach the good news not by words of man’s wisdom but by the power of the Spirit! To forgive sins, the ministry of Christ on the earth. To perform signs and wonders for the purpose of declaring that the year of our Lord has come! And this “year” is going to start with a millennial reign on the earth!
I hope you are all excited. For although there will be hard times, deception, pain, persecutions, conspiracies, disruptions, afflictions, and whatever other negative events taking place around the world. These things are present for just a moment. Our saviour is soon to return, and I believe we are going to see the most incredible things in this age. The best wine is being served last. And one final harvest is yet to be brought into the Kingdom. The Lord is preparing the workers for this harvest. He’s now washing their feet to prepare their paths, and soon he’s going to anoint them with a fragrance that will empower their steps. But there is a cost, the vessel has to be broken to release the anointing.
Matthew 21:43-44
43“Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people, producing the fruit of it. 44“And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust.”
Don’t be afraid to fall on the rock. If you choose to take that step I believe you’ll come through the furnace as glowing bronze. A precious and refined material. Those who don’t will have the Rock fall on them.
Daniel 2:34-35
34 You [ap]continued looking until a stone was cut out without hands, and it struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and crushed them. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were crushed [aq]all at the same time and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of them was found. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.”
Remember as you go through your trials that it is the furnace which will remove our bonds. That while we are in the fire, we are not alone.
Daniel 3:24-25
24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste. He declared to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” 25 He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”
About 2000 pigs went into the sea after the demons entered them in the Gadarenes. The Israelites followed the Ark of the covenant into the promised land with a space of about 2000 cubits. These two events witness an approximate timeline for those who have eyes to see. Joseph Herrin has written about this in several places.
Those that bore the Ark, the priests who carried the Presence of Yahweh among his people, had to walk into the Jordan river. The feet of these men are completely submerged prior to the parting of the waters. I believe this is a picture of a complete baptism to take place during the time of this final hour. While the Ark of Yah (presence of god among his people) was borne on their shoulders, which signifies the place of headship.
Joshua 3:7-13
7 Now the Lord said to Joshua, “This day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you. 8 You shall, moreover, command the priests who are carrying the ark of the covenant, saying, ‘When you come to the edge of the waters of the Jordan, you shall stand still in the Jordan.’” 9 Then Joshua said to the sons of Israel, “Come here, and hear the words of the Lord your God.” 10 Joshua said, “By this you shall know that the living God is among you, and that He will assuredly dispossess from before you the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Hivite, the Perizzite, the Girgashite, the Amorite, and the Jebusite. 11 Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth is crossing over ahead of you into the Jordan. 12 Now then, take for yourselves twelve men from the tribes of Israel, one man for each tribe. 13 It shall come about when the soles of the feet of the priests who carry the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan will be cut off, and the waters which are [b]flowing down from above [c]will stand in one heap.”
I hope you are all excited. For although there will be hard times, deception, pain, persecutions, conspiracies, disruptions, afflictions, and whatever other negative events taking place around the world. These things are present for just a moment. Our saviour is soon to return, and I believe we are going to see Him do the most incredible work last.
Genesis 49:10
“The scepter shall not depart from Judah,
Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,
[k]Until Shiloh comes,
And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.
Revelation 12:5-6
5 And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to [a]rule all the [b]nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she *had a place prepared by God, so that there [c]she would be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
I’ll leave another posting of Joseph’s, which I find to be a lovely read in relation to the subject of refinement.

How incredible is Yahweh, to have given us His written Word. The Word that his Son embodied, that lives, that His Spirit interprets and reveals.
Holy, Holy, Holy, is Yahweh Almighty!

https://parables.blog/the-early-rain-and-latter-rain/
Hallelujah!
Looking at the gospels we find the following;
