Food Shortages & Delays In Replying To Emails
The five-month cloud cover finally broke here in the north-west of Ireland last month, though Spring has remained unseasonably cold. This has meant a severe delay in getting seeds and crops started this year.
At the same time, much information is coming through concerning global fertiliser shortages, alongside growing shortages in fuel. Those who understand the global food chain and how it is entirely reliant upon these two necessities are now increasingly concerned about where we are all headed this year. Without trying to sound alarmist, there is already talk of a coming Global Famine.
Since the break in the cloud-cover, I have been working flat-out in the garden getting seeds started and early crops into the ground. This has been aided by a timely and much-needed boost in energy and health - indeed with all this labouring in the sun all day long, I am feeling ten years younger. However it does mean I have much less time to sit at my desk, and so am rarely online at the moment. I do apologise to anyone who has been waiting for some time for a response to an email. Also, during this time I have only been able to publish the Parables blog on a fortnightly basis. I expect this busy period will last for another month or so, and then I will be able to get back to a weekly blog routine with some original writings.
