Luke 4:28-30
And all in the synagogue were filled with rage as they heard these things; and they rose up and cast Him out of the city, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built, in order to throw Him down the cliff. But passing through their midst, He went His way.
Have you ever paused to consider what actually happened in the event described above? How did Christ pass through the midst of a people who were intent on casting Him over a cliff? Recently I received a testimony of a sister in Christ who was given a similar experience as God was demonstrating to her about that which a first fruits group of His sons and daughters will experience in days not far ahead. I will include this word here.
A Taste Of The Walk To Come
Olivia Reitz Long (February 19, 2009)
After reading the different messages the people posted on the 16th, all under the title of “The Rapture of the Manchild”, I wanted to write and tell you what He did in 2003. My daughter was still living back in PA (my home until 2001 when I came to TX).
Prior to 2003, years before, He had been teaching me about the Manchild, The Sons of Glory. I remember the first night He talked to me about this…. I was sitting on my front deck at dusk, where I would go to meet with the Lord. He began to tell me about this — prior to that just one week before, a lady said that very soon, Father would tell me something that would blow my mind. And when He began, I would say ‘out loud’: (wouldn’t be able to contain myself) “Oh my God, Oh, my God, Oh my God.” (three times) I thought, well almost anyone knows what ‘very soon’ can mean when He says it — a month, six months, a year or years down the road. Little did I know that it would occur just one week later. (oh, how He loves to prove us wrong and surprise us.)
When Father began speaking to me about this, I heard myself saying, out loud “Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God.” I remember placing my hand over my mouth, remembering what she had said to me one week before. (And it did happen very soon, in our timing) I sat there mesmerized listening to every word intently. I thought to myself,- “I am a part of this?” Of course He knew what I was thinking and He just said “yes, you are.”
In Nov. of 2003, my daughter had twin boys. I did not have any money to fly back to see them and I thought I would be ok with that, but found that I wanted to see them so badly and I was having a hard time dealing with it…. I went on the net and e-mailed my mailing list and asked them to pray for me that my mind would be eased. (That was all I asked of them) One couple in KY wrote and said I would have round trip tickets waiting for me at the commuter airport, and then to Houston to fly to Pittsburgh, then to drive to my home town to see the boys. Another dear lady sent me $500 for whatever else I needed (i.e. rental car, food, whatever) – a couple of others sent what they could, $10, etc. Bless God!
I went to the commuter airport and while I was waiting to board the plane, Father said to me “you will have an encounter with me before you arrive back in TX”. I was elated, as you can imagine. I flew to PA, was there for five days, nothing happened. No encounter! I checked my e-mail at my daughter’s and a person said that I would have an encounter with God sometime during this trip….confirmation! I flew from Pittsburgh, back to Houston and from there back to the commuter airport. Still no encounter!
The plane was the largest of the commuters and it was packed full of passengers. I was sitting in the back seat. As we taxied up to the terminal, I almost cried, feeling I had not gotten the encounter. When the passengers were deplaning, I got up to leave and found my purse strap was caught in the side of the seat, I couldn’t get it free. By the time I freed it, all the passengers were off and in the terminal. Finally I was able to leave. Outside, two flight attendants grinned and said here’s our lost sheep. I just smiled at them, a little dejected, well maybe more than a little.
I went to the terminal, there were automatic glass sliding doors and the moment the doors opened and I stepped over the threshold, the encounter began. I knew it, something seemed different and it was as though I was walking in two different atmospheres, walking there as an actual person in the natural, but yet walking in another realm as well. Father spoke and said, remember what I told you before? I am giving you a taste of what it will be like when you are walking in this and this “taste” will last for three days. My ride was standing in the lobby talking to someone. (By the way, they were having some kind of problem getting all the luggage off the plane for the passengers, the airport employees said they never experienced anything like this, we know Who arranged the delay.)
I walked around, went over to my ride and it was as though I was not there, I really was but they couldn’t see me. I heard them talking, but they did not look my way. I walked round about between passengers, families and friends, but no one seemed to see me. At one point, a man was walking right at me and then he was behind me. Father said to go to the restroom and look in the mirror. I thought I would be invisible or something, but I could see myself, I looked different but yet the same, I looked much better, younger and even stronger, and I could tell the energy was within me, His energy. I noted that at one moment I looked translucent and then would appear just as any other person. I went back to the terminal and the baggage was coming through.
We stopped at a restaurant to get a bite to eat and this couple began talking to us, idle chit chat, as it were, I didn’t say much because all I could think of was I just wanted to keep walking in this forever. I did for the three days, just as He said, then it left, just as He said. But before it left, He said “This is how it will happen, I will come and each of you will be transformed just as quickly, as when you stepped through the door, seemingly all was, as normal, the same as my own currently walk in the world, but “in a split nano second, that twinkling of an eye, you were “changed” and that is how it will be when I come upon all of you. You have no idea of exactly when I will do this, but be prepared and never doubt for a moment, no matter what anyone says to you, that it shall happen, because it WILL happen and much sooner than any of you can imagine and just as you went from one moment to the next (with no inkling of what would occur), you shall be changed, it will happen the same way with all of you.. So stay close to Me, don’t doubt, don’t allow the nay-sayers to dissuade you in any way, trust and have faith in Me that it’s DONE and EXPECT!…
I just want to add one of the experiences that He gave me during those three days.
I was going about my life, as usual, in the natural but also being in the other realm. One day I had to go to the store. I was going down this narrow aisle and there were two people standing in the middle of the aisle. I was about to say “excuse me”, so I could go past them, when Father said to just walk between them. My thoughts said “but there is no more than two feet between them”. He just said “do it”. I walked between them and they never knew it happened. Awesome to say the least.
Olivia Reitz Long
I believe this which sister Olivia experienced is the same thing that Yahshua experienced that day on the top of the hill as the people were enraged with fury and intent on casting Him down. We also read other experiences of the Lord where the same things must have surely occurred.
John 8:59
Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him; but Yahshua hid Himself, and went out of the temple.
John 12:36-37
These things Yahshua spoke, and He departed and hid Himself from them.
People of God, when the Jews picked up stones to cast at Yahshua when He stood in the temple we are told that He hid Himself. He did not duck and run. He did not play hide and seek. A change came over His physical body where He was no longer visible to the people and He was able to pass right through their midst in a way very similar (I believe) to that which Olivia described when a man passed right through her in the crowded airport terminal.
Our Father is able to change things in this physical world anytime that He chooses. There were numerous times when we read after the resurrection of Christ that His appearance was changed and the disciples did not recognize Him. Yet He was able to open their eyes to recognize Him at will.
Luke 24:13-16, 30-31
And behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem. And they were conversing with each other about all these things which had taken place. And it came about that while they were conversing and discussing, Yahshua Himself approached, and began traveling with them. But their eyes were prevented from recognizing Him… And it came about that when He had reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them. And their eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight.
I have shared previously in writings on the ascension of the manchild, that Joseph, the son of Jacob, serves as a type of the manchild. Even as we read in Revelation 12 that the manchild is caught up to the throne of God, so too do we read of Joseph in a single day being taken from the dungeon of Pharaoh and ascending to a place of ruling over the nation.
We find a very interesting parallel in Joseph’s experience to that of Yahshua. Yahshua came to His own people, but they did not recognize Him for who He was, their Messiah. We have seen in the verse we have looked at that there were times when those who were very close to Him did not recognize Him, for His appearance seemed changed in their sight. So too is this pattern observed in the life of Joseph.
Genesis 42:7-8
When Joseph saw his brothers he recognized them, but he disguised himself to them… But Joseph had recognized his brothers, although they did not recognize him.
We see that Joseph was able by an act of his will to either disguise himself, or reveal himself to his brothers. His appearance had changed much in the years since they had last seen him, and so too will the appearance of those who are part of the manchild be changed. For the manchild company, their brothers in Christ and close associates will not recognize them. They will appear different, yet they will be able to disclose themselves to their brothers when the time is deemed right.
Genesis 45:1
Then Joseph could not control himself before all those who stood by him, and he cried, “Have everyone go out from me.” So there was no man with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers.
In each type of the manchild that God has given to us we see this aspect of them being transformed and their appearance being different. We see that they are able to hide themselves at will, and appear at will.
The Spirit has also been testifying that Moses is a type of the manchild. When the people of Israel entered the wilderness, Moses ascended the mount to meet with God. This is a parallel event to the manchild of Revelation 12 ascending to the throne of God, and a parallel to Joseph being brought before Pharaoh. When Moses came back down from the mount his appearance was changed.
Exodus 34:29-31, 33-35
And it came about when Moses was coming down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the testimony were in Moses’ hand as he was coming down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because of his speaking with Him. 30 So when Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him… When Moses had finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face. But whenever Moses went in before Yahweh to speak with Him, he would take off the veil until he came out; and whenever he came out and spoke to the sons of Israel what he had been commanded, the sons of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses’ face shone. So Moses would replace the veil over his face until he went in to speak with Him.
Moses placing the veil over his face serves as a shadow of that experience which is to come to the people of God who will be part of the manchild company. Moses was able to veil himself whenever he chose, and to unveil himself when he chose. We see the fulfillment of this in the life of Christ as He was able to veil Himself so that those close to Him did not recognize His form, yet they knew it was Him whenever He chose to open their understanding.
John 21:4-8, 12
But when the day was now breaking, Yahshua stood on the beach; yet the disciples did not know that it was Yahshua. Yahshua therefore said to them, “Children, you do not have any fish, do you?” They answered Him, “No.” And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you will find a catch.” They cast therefore, and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great number of fish. That disciple therefore whom Yahshua loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord.” And so when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put his outer garment on (for he was stripped for work), and threw himself into the sea… None of the disciples ventured to question Him, “Who are You?” knowing that it was the Lord.
We see here that Yahshua is able to selectively choose whom among His disciples are able to recognize Him and who are not. At first no one recognizes it is Christ. Then only John recognizes Him. After they come ashore all of the disciples recognize that it is the Lord.
A year ago while I was spending a month camping and seeking the Lord about the character of the upcoming ministry, He spoke to me through this event recorded in Scripture. John tells us the following concerning this event.
John 21:14
This is now the third time that Yahshua was manifested to the disciples, after He was raised from the dead.
The third appearance of Christ speaks prophetically of the manner in which Christ will appear to His people at the end of the age. He will appear in a manner that many will fail to recognize, but some will. His third appearing will be in a form that many did not expect, for He will appear IN HIS SAINTS, not on the clouds of the heavens as many have been taught to expect.
II Thessalonians 1:7-10
The Lord Yahshua shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Yahshua. And these will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes to be glorified IN HIS SAINTS on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed…
Joseph was adorned in glorious array on the day he ascended from the dungeon to the throne of Pharaoh. Moses was adorned with glory when he ascended the mount to the presence of God. Yahshua was adorned in glory when He ascended the mount of transfiguration, and He now resides in glory. And the manchild will also experience a similar transformation.
In coming days there will be a group of first fruits overcomers who will ascend to the throne of God and they will be transformed. When they go out among the people they will be able to hide themselves and appear at will. We read of Christ appearing suddenly inside a locked room in the midst of His disciples. They thought He must be a ghost so He asked for a piece of fish and ate it before them. He invited them to touch Him. He was solid and substantial, yet he was able to transform into something else at will.
People of God, these are remarkable things, yet they will be seen among a remnant in days that are not far off.
May you be blessed with peace and understanding in these days.

Thank you, Mr. Herrin for all that you put into your writings. It has been the second witness to me about much that is happening at this time. Praise God! Praise God! in all his many works. Thank God for allowing me to live in this special time. Peace. Chryl
I’ve had the same experience about a month ago. We as Christians know the devastation that is to come of the Almighty’s wrath but there is no reason for us to fear! Immediately after reading this blog this verse had popped into my head,
“Neither shall they say, See here! or, see there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you” Luke 17:21.
Let us continue to pray for His will and crucify our own because his plan for us in these times will deliver us from his wrath.
GOD BLESS!
