Are you a pioneer, or a settler? Have you chosen for yourself a Christian experience where the risks are minimized, most dangers avoided, and comfort is assured?
This talk, given in Columbia, Missouri during my recent trek across America is a challenge to embrace that bold and courageous life, fully surrendered to be led of the Spirit of Christ, which will bring forth the greatest spiritual progress, and the most profound reward. Many Christians have settled on their lees. They have become like wine that has set too long in one position until the dregs have settled to the bottom and they have lost their freshness.
What is Yahweh’s answer to those who are at ease in Zion?
Jeremiah 48:11-12
Moab has been at ease from his youth, and he has settled on his lees, and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither has he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed. Therefore, behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.
I encourage the saints to listen to the following message. It is a season of stirring, and the Father is looking for those sons and daughters who will launch out into the deep with Him.

How can i get an mp3 of this message for my ipod?
Dear Beard,
The MP3 file is too large to send as an e-mail attachment. I use a service called Dropbox, which is free, to share large files with individuals. If you would like, I can post this message in MP3 to Dropbox where you can download it.
Send me a private e-mail with your e-mail address in it, as I will need this to share the file with you via Dropbox. You can find my e-mail address on the top left side of the Parables Blog.
Hello Brother,
I pray all is well with you and your quiet time waiting on direction for the next endeavor.
As for being a pioneer or a settler, I really have no choice about it. I am a pioneer that has been forced to settle and remain in one place and put down roots.
I am directed to be a consistent measure of the way to walk through all the changes being perpetrated around us.
I am directed to build a refuge in the midst of a dying society and a directionless people. There is no more vision in the land and the people are perishing.
If I follow my own soul I would flee and not stay here. But then who would be left to point the way for all the refugees about to flee the cities and the urban areas.
It is hard to sit the bench, but I am fairly sure my time to get in the game at the important areas will come. I follow my leader, the KING of all creation. I fear nothing except failure in pleasing HIM. All is ordained already and set aside for HIS good pleasure and will. I must only attempt to live up to my calling. ….. Steve
Dear Steve,
Thanks for the comment. One needs to look at this allegory as spiritual rather than literal. You can be a city dweller and still be a pioneer. The key is, are you following the leading of the Trail Boss? If the Trail Boss has led you to remain stationery when everything around you is decaying and falling apart, then it takes a real pioneering spirit to abide in that place.
So be encouraged brother. You can be living in New Jersey and still be a pioneer.
