All Faces Have Become Pale

Jeremiah 30:6-7
“Ask now, and see if a male can give birth. Why do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in childbirth? And why have all faces turned pale? Alas! for that day is great, there is none like it…”

Daniel 5:6
Then the king’s face grew pale and his thoughts alarmed him, and his hip joints went slack and his knees began knocking together.

Today is Memorial Day in the United States. Many families are grilling out today. People are going to the beach. My own daughter is canoeing in a local river with members of her church. I spent the day alone at the RV park where my bus is located, contemplating the coming days.

Keeping Memorial Day and Labor Day straight has always been confusing to me. I know one is at the start of the Summer, and the other at the end, but I could not tell you definitively which holiday is first and which is last unless I was looking at the calendar, or the holiday was being commemorated at the time.

I was thinking of these two holidays today, remembering an occasion back in 2003 where the Father did a very significant thing on one of these dates. It was Labor Day in 2003 (I looked it up). My family and I were staying in Montezuma, Georgia and I had just passed through one of the most difficult periods of my life. The tests were severe. The pain was agonizing. Great disappointment, coupled with many anxieties, confusion, and the distress of various family members added to the ordeal. Yahweh had been walking me through a great period of trial and testing that had lasted some months. I was worn out from the experience.

The season of pain ended on Labor Day. (Is this not a parable?) Friends showed up that day to help us move to a new location where we would remain for the next five months (grace). I had gotten up early in the morning and looked at the news on the Internet. The lead story testified that Tropical Storm Grace was heading toward Corpus Christi, Texas. The time was 5:55 A.M. and it was reported that Grace was 115 miles from Corpus Christi. Corpus Christi is Latin for “the body of Christ.” 115 is (23 times 5), the significance of which I have reported on recently. Yahweh has used these two numbers to denote His grace for provision.

Truly Yahweh sent me grace that day. He sent forth His provision after a long season of pain and struggle. I had endured. I was beaten and battered, but He had carried me through. Symbolically, the air conditioner had gone out in the home we had been staying in some weeks earlier. The owner had promptly replaced it, but left the old unit sitting in the yard. The Lord drew my attention to the brand name of the air conditioner. It was a Payne Carrier. Truly I was also carrying great pain while at that home. The owner showed up with a tractor on Labor Day, even as I was in the act of moving out, and he hauled off the old AC. This too was symbolic. Yahweh was removing the pain and giving me a season of grace.

When we have eyes to see, we often observe Yahweh speaking in profound ways. That experience back in 2003 on Labor Day was profound. I knew Yahweh had established every detail. The news report of the approaching tropical storm, the name of the air conditioner, the event being on Labor Day, all of it was significant.

As I was sitting in my bus contemplating these things today, Memorial Day, the news was reporting that Subtropical Storm Beryl is approaching the Georgia Coast. It is bearing down on one of my favorite places to visit, Jekyll Island. This is where the secret meeting was held back in 1910 that laid the groundwork for the Federal Reserve System, that diabolical institution of enslavement of an entire nation. Not coincidentally, the last slave ship from Africa to bring Negroes to America landed on Jekyll Island. The ship was named The Wanderer. Jekyll Island is associated with enslavement, a loss of liberty.

As I was pondering the significance of another Storm making landfall on an American holiday the power went out at the campground at which I am staying. The entire RV park lost power. Yahweh orders every detail.

I had just spent the past few days studying, planning, and purchasing various components to upgrade my bus that I might have some limited electrical power in case of electrical power being interrupted, or unavailable in upcoming days. I have a sense that electrical power will be intermittent, not as consistent and reliable as it has been in past days. This may in part be due to infrastructure problems in the nation that arise from an economic collapse, or it may be due to having to relocate my bus to places that are remote where electrical power is unavailable.

(I will mention the upgrades I am making to my bus later. Right now I want to speak of the parable contained in these events today.)

With the power out, but my laptop computer still running due to it having a battery, I returned to my bus, opened all the windows and sat down to write this blog. The first thing I did was look up the details of the subtropical storm bearing down on Georgia. It is named Subtropical Storm Beryl. I realized that the name Beryl relates to a gemstone, for it is mentioned in the Bible. I went to the Wikipedia site to see what the origin, or the etymology, of the word Beryl is. Its meaning is highly significant.

Beryl
etymology: “to become pale
[Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beryl]

What is bearing down on America will cause all faces to become pale. I believe even as the subtropical storm is bearing down on “The Golden Isles” of Georgia, and Jekyll Island is in its cross hairs, the Federal Reserve system will play a major role in that event that causes hip joints to grow slack and knees to knock together. An economic collapse has been covertly planned for some time. Even as The Wanderer made landfall secretly with its cargo of human slaves, so too do wicked men work to enslave nations in secret. Their works are hidden, yet the effects are quite visible.

People of God, there are events coming to this nation that will cause men’s faces to grow pale. Life as it has been known in “the land of the free” will be no more. Yahweh has been declaring to His people what is coming that they might prepare themselves spiritually and physically.

I will share with you a few more of the preparations I have been making in recent days.

Spices and Cooking Supplies

I have sought to keep my food supplies very basic. I am not planning any gourmet meals. Bread, rice and beans, and soups are the basic things I am planning. I am storing up hundreds of pounds of grains and beans, yet these staples also need some spices and other cooking supplies to go with them. Pictured above is a large container of dry milk. This item need not be refrigerated. Inside the large pail are individually wrapped smaller containers of dried milk. This product can be purchased online from Costco’s website.

There are also two number 10 cans of dried eggs.

Both the dried eggs and powdered milk are needed for baking breads and for use in other recipes. Also pictured above is a large bag of baking soda. This can be purchased in bulk at Walmart in the pool supply section. It is the same baking soda used for cooking, and it is very inexpensive. Baking soda is used for baking, as well as in many bean recipes. A sister in Christ mentioned that she uses it in her homemade laundry detergent and toothpaste. There are a myriad of uses for it.

Pictured among my supplies are numerous spices including sea salt, black pepper, mustard, cumin, turmeric, vegetable flakes, dried chopped onion, dried minced garlic, ground jalapeno pepper, cinnamon, and dried diced celery. These are good in soups and bean dishes. All of these are available from Spice Barn, which has very good prices on bulk quantities.

I also have honey and molasses ordered from Webstaurant’s website.

5 lb. Honey

Honey stores indefinitely, and is an excellent all purpose sweetener that is highly nutritious.

Gallon Molasses

The whole wheat bread recipe I use calls for molasses. A larger use of it, however, will be as a sweetener and flavoring for oatmeal. George Mueller has recorded in his autobiography that they used to buy treacle (Similar in England to our American molasses) in 55 gallon drums, along with large supplies of oatmeal, to feed to the thousands of orphans they cared for. The orphans had oatmeal with treacle every morning. I have 100 pounds of oats ordered, and I have a roller/flaker to make my own rolled oats. I would have no problem eating oatmeal every morning for breakfast. I do so most mornings even now.

I mentioned above that I had spent time in the past few days assessing solar power options. I arrived at a solution that was about half the cost of upgrading the solar capacity of my bus. I sent the following letter to a sister in Christ yesterday describing what I had settled on.

I wanted to share with you another option regarding solar/battery/refrigeration needs. There are a few things that I anticipate using in the days ahead which would require refrigeration (such as yeast for baking). I had been looking at setting up enough batteries and solar panels to use the refrigerator/freezer inside my bus. I figured that I would need four more batteries like the 2 I already have (at $200 each), plus about 300 watts of solar panels, a charge controller, and an inverter to output AC power from my batteries to the refrigerator (another $250). All of this together was approaching $3,000.

This morning I was praying and asking the Father to guide me. The thought popped into my head to search online for “solar freezers.” I had never even heard of such a thing, but I did a search and found multiple options for freezers (and refrigerator/freezers) that run off of 12 volt DC power. All of them had significantly lower power draws than my built in refrigerator/freezer that is in my bus. One of the reasons for this is that the portable refrigerator/freezers that run on 12 volt power are much better insulated.

As I mentioned before, it is often more cost effective to get a more energy efficient appliance than it is to try to set-up a solar battery system for inefficient appliances. After looking at models from about 4 different companies, I settled on one that was actually less expensive than the others and had the added benefit of operating off of AC power, or DC power.

Edgestar 80 Quart Freezer/Refrigerator

The unit has plugs for both AC and DC which can be hooked up simultaneously. Whenever the AC power is off it will automatically begin to run off of DC battery power. This seemed ideal as I would put this freezer in my trailer. I already have electric run into it so I can run my grain mill and one light. I could then also install a large capacity deep cycle battery next to it, and power it with one high capacity solar panel (about 200 watts, or more)…

Following is a link to the portable freezers I was speaking about. The first ones by Edgestar are what I found most reasonable, and they have the dual power connections. I placed an order for the 80 quart model, and final cost, including shipping, was under $600. (Note: There was an extra 5% discount the day I ordered this freezer. The discount was ended just a few hours after I ordered. 5 is grace) It will fit right under the counter in my trailer that my grain mill is mounted on. Then I can hook up a battery, solar panel, and charge controller and have a complete system. No inverter would be needed.

Although it would be convenient to have my refrigerator/freezer inside my bus working on solar, it would be far less efficient. Plus, the refrigerator vents heat to the inside of my bus, which would contribute to interior heating. I plan on using my refrigerator in the bus for cabinet and storage space if I ever have to live in the bus without access to AC power. That way it would not be wasted space.

To complete my solar power upgrade, I also ordered a 153 amp/hour deep cycle battery and a charge controller. The charge controller resides between the solar panels and the battery and it prevents the battery from being overcharged. I am still looking for a couple of solar panels, one to power the battery for the freezer, and another to charge the two auxiliary batteries in my bus when I am off-grid.

I have moments when doubts creep in and I find it hard to imagine the dire things coming to this nation that would make such preparations practical or necessary. Yet, when I seek the Father I find reassurance that such days are approaching and it is His hand guiding me. When the power went out today (it is back on now), coupled with the significance of this being an American holiday and the storm approaching Jekyll Island, I sensed this to be a further witness of that which is approaching.

Amos 3:6-7
If a trumpet is blown in a city will not the people tremble? If a calamity occurs in a city has not Yahweh done it? Surely Yahweh God does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets.

Let us all seek the Father while He may be found.

Amen! Thank you brother Joseph, for another very informative and helpful guidance Yahweh is profoundly leading you to obtain. Our Father stirs the same path in my life and family as well……here in Honolulu! I am slowly but surely getting ready what Yahweh has placed significant things for us as well. And ironically, living in a condo of the 8th floor, had me thinking about electrical power for my ref/freezer. And you just help answer my question on that. I too, would benefit with 80gal freezer. Thank you Lord! In that, I am sure many others reading your blog is thinking and hopefully doing the same. Bless you brother!
