My heart mourns today for the murder of Charlie Kirk.
I used to watch Charlie about 2 years ago on YouTube. He was a great debater and I particularly liked him when he would talk to students on college campuses about his belief in Christianity or some “hot” topic such as gender roles. Charlie was very good at expressing himself while not painting those he was talking to in a negative light.
I was saddened to see him get involved with politics, but I anticipated this, for I knew there were very few Christians who saw politics in America as the charade that it is. There are so few today who see Satan’s hand in it. Charlie Kirk had gotten involved with Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again campaign.
What do we do when we see a Christian getting involved with someone who is involved with Satan’s schemes?
We listen to the Spirit and let Him guide us. There are millions of Christians who believe President Trump is a Christian. The Spirit says to judge a person by his actions. I wrote some articles about Donald Trump when he was running for President the first time (provided below this article – CB).
Some would guess that I would not have any interest in Charlie Kirk because of his embrace of Donald Trump, but as I have continued to think on him I have been reminded that he is still a Christian, and he seems to have been sincere. I have continued to be concerned for him even as I have been for the millions of other believers who are walking in darkness. I have felt a great deal of sorrow as I have read and watched the news of his demise. I have prayed for his wife and 2 children. What they are facing is terrible.
The tragedy that has befallen this family is only a precursor of what is to come to Christians in America and throughout the world. How tragic it is, and will be, in coming days for everyone. We live in the hour of the great deceiver “who deceives the whole world.” May Yahweh grant to many of His children that they might wake up and walk with their eyes open in this incredibly dark time.
Yahweh, please grant that many of your children might walk as wise in this increasingly dark hour. Give all of them grace that they may know how to walk in this hour. Father, please give Charlie Kirk’s family and friends tremendous grace as they walk through this excruciating trial, and give all of your children grace as the days become darker and darker. Amen.
