Joseph Herrin (02-02-2017)

Time. It’s a requirement for what I have proposed to do. Translating a new Bible with all of the changes I have set forth is a time intensive task. I have been taking some steps to begin this task already. I have been checking out software, both Bible software and editing software. I have ordered some which has added a delay to the task, and I have downloaded some onto my PC direct from the Internet.

Beyond this, I have hooked a second monitor up to my PC to give me the workspace I desired. My efforts have led to an expense as my first video set-up with dual monitors was causing my computer to occasionally crash. I was afraid that it would crash at a point where I would not like to lose the labor I have done on the Bible translation, so I ordered a new video card to hook both of my monitors to a HDMI connection. That has now been taken care of.

On top of this, my Internet access has been down for portions of 4 days recently. Problems and advancements on the local DSL network have taken a toll on the Internet’s uptime. Today it is out, also. This too has caused me some delays, but during all of it I have been making progress. Following is a photo of my computer with dual monitors hooked up.

During my time I have made some decisions regarding aspects of the Scripture translation job I am going to work on. I have decided to forego chapters and verses. This, I have learned, is a type of book called a “Readers Bible.” Some popular ones are the English Standard Version Reader’s Bible, and the Bibliotheca. Also, the New American Standard Bible has a version without chapters and verses on Kindle. There is a copy of the New King James Version and the King James Version also. Likewise the World English Bible is available in various formats without chapters and verses. I am sure there are more, but those are the ones that stand out to me. Seeing that the invention of chapters and verses in the Bible is only about 500 years old, I am in favor of putting it back to its original character as a group of books.

Looking at the Bibliotheca (www.bibliotheca.co) I was surprised to learn that it was a Kickstarter funded project. The creator of the project expected 500 would be necessary to pay for it, at a cost of $37,000. He was blown away when he was able to raise $1,440,385 on Kickstarter. Since then he continues to sell them via his webpage. The Bibliotheca is basically an American Standard Version from 1901. This book was chosen because it is now in the public domain. Also, it was chosen for its literal accuracy.

Unfortunately this Bible is not that literally accurate, not having the names of Yahweh and Yahshua, and including the myths and fables of an eternal hell and Sunday worship. I have in the time allotted been able to view many videos on the Sabbath, and even in the New Testament the saints were meeting on Saturday. It is a shame that Christianity today knows nothing of the Sun worship that went on back then, and how the Roman Emperors forbade the saints from worshiping on any day but Sunday. If you look at any of the 8 accounts in the New Testament that speak of the saints meeting that are translated something akin to “On the first day of the week”you will see that they all included the word Sabbath. It was literally, “one one of the Sabbaths.” Furthermore, there were other words for “week” that the Greeks used. These are but a few of the inaccuracies of the Bible.

It should not surprise people that if Yahweh allowed the Church to be so deceived in her doctrines today, that the Bible has not escaped either. The inaccuracy need not be in the original languages. It is enough to put them in the translations. The translations have very much copied one another for the past 500 years that the printing press has been in use. That is not to say that the men were all corrupt at heart who translated the Scriptures. It just means that error was in force for so long that it was believed by them as well.

I do like the way in which the man has made 4 books out of the Bibliotheca.

As we learned in Yahweh’s Book it was a common practice of the Jews to separate the Old Testament up into 3 groups, the Torah, the Neviim, the Kethubim, or TaNaKh. The New Testament follows as a 4th book. Whether I will set forth the Scriptures as 4 books, I am not sure at this time, but I would like to have the 4 sections marked out.

Another reason for the exclusion of chapters and verses is to instill the original thought of the book. For example, the book of Acts has 6 sections that each end with some form of the phrase “and the word of the Lord continued to spread and flourish.”

These are a few of the things I have been thinking about. May you be blessed with peace and understanding in these days.

In this most recent article entitled 'Time', Brother Herrin, you expressed concern or apprehension of the possibility of losing any ongoing work regarding this time intensive Bible project due to possible computer failures. In some of your previous writings, you mentioned one or more individuals who have helped you on occasion with printer problems, etc. The newer versions of Windows do have built in backup software which is more dependable than Microsoft has ever provided before. Regular system backups can be life savers and time savers in the event of a system problem, IF the backups are done properly. *
You can also use third party software to backup your individual files to a USB portable hard drive on a daily basis. Or you can actually attach a regular SATA hard drive in an enclosure device, powered by a power adapter and attached by USB3, which also allows a daily/weekly backup of files and any specified data. I use both methods on a weekly basis to minimize data loss in the event of a catastrophic failure. Perhaps one of your local friends/helpers can set this up for you.

    Dear JR,

I expect this to take at least a year. It is hard to estimate a time for completion.

    Hello Skip,

I appreciate you sharing all the back-up schemes for Windows. I actually have a couple of back-ups already. I have been using an external drive for about 7 years, and I also back-up important files to DropBox. My main concern with having an outage is the time consumed in getting a new video card, or possibly a computer, and rebuilding everything.

I've been studying the Word for 40 years. For the last 30 of those it has been an increasingly great struggle to read a passage and walk away sensing that I have accurately received the originally intended meaning without reading it in 20 translations, literals, interlinears, Strongs's Hebrew/Greek lexicon, Vulgate, Septuagint, etc. This is extremely time consuming yet tremendously rewarding when I finally arrive at the intended sense of the passage as confirmed by the Holy Spirit. I know most do not have the time and/or inclination to pursue the Word to this extent. The Jubilee Bible took the editor 10 years to produce. I hope you're computer skills, software, and previous efforts will "translate" into more of the 1 year time frame that you have hoped for. English speaking believers/seekers need to have a reproduction of the Word that they can rely on. That way they can spend their time letting the Holy Spirit speak to them without the encumbrance of a written scripture containing textual, copying, translation, and theological errors. The greatest antidote for deception is the Word. All mankind needs it desperately at this (end) time in history — but what translation can one recommend in English? I'm praying for you, brother, and may Yahweh speed forth your efforts!

    Joseph,

How are you going to deal with the 'myths and fables of an eternal hell?

    Hello Pat,

I plan on addressing it as I did in the book God's Plan of the Ages. I have listed plenty of Scriptures in there and I will address them as they are addressed in the book. If you have questions about a particular verse, it may be good to read the book again. It is on the BOOKS page at the Heart4God website.

May you be blessed with peace and understanding in these days.

Joseph, I will be returning my computer that i purchased the other day to replace the one I had that broke because this new computer is having too many problems. I doubt that I will get another one.

Scripture does not teach nor support UR. Reality doesn't either; unrepentant sinners who have died, experienced hell, and were allowed to come back to life give testimonies of their experiences that validate what Jesus said they would experience in Luke 16:23 (tormented in the flames of hell),24 (no mercy shown),26 (they would be there forever if they had stayed), 27-28 (wanted family to be told to repent/get saved so that they wouldn't end up in hell).

UR is a false teaching; it is heresy. It is a product/work of the flesh.

I have been praying for you Joseph.

    Dear Pat,

You have misunderstood my teaching on Universal Reconciliation. You are right that it does not say people will be in the lake of fire forever, but they will be cast into it.

    I Corinthians 15:23-28
But each in his own order: the anointed first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming, then comes the remainder, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be abolished is death. For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when He says, "All things are put in subjection," it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him. When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.

If death is the last thing to be done away with, and the lake of fire is call "the second death" then it must be done away with also. If "all things" other than the father are to be subjected to Christ what does that leave out?

I encourage you to read my book. The mess men have made with it in translating words like "aion," which denotes an age, as eternity is very confusing. Fortunately some lesser known Bibles have translated it correctly.

I would encourage you to read the book God's Plan of the Ages before you give an opinion of the book. What is there to be afraid of? Yahweh asked me the same question before I read J. Preston Eby's The Savior of the World series. I was possibly more upset than you at this teaching the first I heard of it. The truth is our Bibles as well as church doctrine has been leavened with error during the past 2,000 years of church history. Can we read the Bible and doubt that the Bible has been under assault? Christ said:

    Luke 18:8
"However, when the Son of Man returns, will He find faith on the earth?"

Please take the time to read the book
    God's Plan of the Ages.

    Sincerely,
    Joseph Herrin
